H&M Home

I'm really excited about H&M not only selling clothing now a days but also has a full home collection! Here are some nice pieces, both for grownups and little ones.

Cuddly

Little guy got lucky too. A new friend waited in a package for him outside our door when we came home. It's a German bear and made out of all good materials. He is one spoiled little guy.

Good Tuesday

They look beige here but are actually peach colored.

These new Jeffrey Campbell flats ended up in my shopping bag today. And my dear mom had managed to get me some nice pieces from the Missoni collection after all! So a pretty successful Tuesday on this end. (Weather was even a bit cooler too!)

Ice cold

Hot weather calls for cold desserts. This ice cream cheesecake is one of my favorites. I made it yesterday and having spent the night in the freezer it's now ready to be indulged. Cream cheese, egg yolk and egg whites, sugar, cream...together they create a filling but refreshing dessert. I choose kiwi for decoration but strawberries or raspberries would be great too.

Anna Della Russo for H&M

It wasn't too easy trying to get anything from the Missoni for Lindex collection today when they opened their web sale, one day before the pieces hit stores. All the good stuff was gone in a second. Oh well...perhaps time to look forward to another collaboration debuting soon - Anna Dello Russo's accessory collection for H&M. The Japanese Vogue editor at large has created a fun collection, packed with over the top items, just like her personal style. Comes out October 4th.

Saturday night at the Grove

So many people were out it was hard to find a table. I guess the very warm evenings bring everyone out. By 10pm I could still sit in just a thin little sweater. Pretty nice of course, but the super hot days really have me ready for fall.

IKEA

Spent some time at IKEA today to buy crayfish for an upcoming crayfish party (and ate some meatballs at the food court of course!).

Mom on audition

I just got back from an audition for Specsavers, a Swedish eye wear company. I actually get surprisingly many auditions for Swedish brands over here. Once I shot a commercial for Swedish drugstore chain Apoteket in downtown LA. I look at auditions differently now a days. It's nice to get out of the house and do something by myself for a while. But at the same time, my little guy is all I think about. As it should be. That is my most important job now. And in my handbag I found his blue pacifier. Another time, I've found some diapers or a bib or a burp cloth. I always smile when I see it. There it is, mixed with the lipstick and wallet like the most natural thing. 

Little fingers...

...felt the grass for the first time today in the park. I think he thought it was very ticklish but seemed intrigued and didn't want to stop touching it :)

Poems for sale

I passed this guy today, standing at a busy street corner selling poems to people walking by. For $1 he wrote you one and even read it out aloud to you. I gave him $5 and walked away with my poem in hand. I like those random meetings with people. It's something I like about living here. Crazy old Hollywood.

Cuteness

The wagons can be used as hooks!

I love to be in my son's room and organize and put up new little things for him. And before he was born I was in there every day, framing family photos and folding tiny clothes in his drawer. This shelf just got up on his wall and the Swedish books are gifts from the ones back home, wanting him to learn his Swedish. The cute cardigan has Grandma made.

Le weekend

Got treated to a one hour long massage at a massage parlor (mmm!), did some shopping, cleaned&organized the home, almost melted away in the 39 degree warm weather(!), made Swedish pancakes for breakfast, skyped with the parents and rented American Pie the reunion (not so funny). How was yours?

Missoni for Lindex

It's getting closer...the Missoni collection for Lindex. So exciting. September 25th it will be in every Lindex store all over Europe. I found so many pieces I like. And these are my favorites. Which ones do you think are the prettiest? And I would love to get one of those little onesies for my little one. Is one of them more "boyish" than the other?

Dot

I just got this new Marc Jacobs perfume. I like it a lot. It's fruity with red berries, vanilla and coconut as some of the ingredients. And the fun bottle looks really cute on my vanity.

The Kate Moss book

On my wishlist right now. The book about my favorite model - Miss Kate Moss. Goes on sale in November and comes in eight different beautiful covers. Can't wait!

Not so smooth

With one full day of layover in Washington we rented a car and drove into the city to do some sightseeing...got lost on the way back to the airport and almost missed the flight and had one very hungry baby in the backseat...I've had enough of Washington for a while.

I'll definitely miss this...

....Mom's delicatessen! That's where I got my interest of cooking from.

Sweden, I'll miss you

We had some lovely weeks in a fall like Sweden, lots of quality time with family. And Swedish candy (of course!) and liver pate and cucumber sandwiches in the morning and late nights at the patio tucked in blankets and all barefoot in the green grass and long walks with the little guy where we used to walk when we were little and dressed in yellow and black going to see soccer with dad (They lost but I was still winning, standing there next to him again). But why is time always so short? When I was younger I thought time lasted much much longer. I'll miss everyone. Saying goodbye is always hard, even more now when my baby wont get to see his family for so long. He was such a good boy, did so well on the long flights. Flying with a little baby is still such an ordeal though! The long trip is tough without a baby, imagine how much tougher it is with one, just things like going through security takes forever...Hopefully we'll forget about it soon enough. I would love to go back for Christmas.

I'm baaack!

I'm sorry, I just disappeared on you, no good bye - I just took off. But things got so very hectic towards the end before our long trip. We even had a 1st Birthday Party to attend between all the packing and organizing, before hitting LAX in the evening! And when I'm away on vacation I like to really check out completely, almost no facebook or email and no becki-la... But here I am again, back in the city of Angeles and back by the computer. Hope your last two weeks have been really great too. I'll soon tell you about mine!
