Treasure hunting

I love finding unique, old, beautiful, rare things or to make a really good deal on something of course. That's a great thrill. So flea markets are my place to be at! After a couple of hours of strolling around in the ice cold weather (Sweden really IS preparing for winter) I came home with a beautiful chair that I can see myself putting in maybe a bedroom or hallway and a nice colorful painting for only 1 SEK! We'll probably reframe it and it'll look great!

We spent the entire day yesterday with my sister and her family so little guy could play with all my sister's girls. It's so nice to see the little ones interact and entertain each other. And it gives the grownups a chance to interact a bit too..

Winter

We woke up to frost this morning. A small layer of tiny crystals on the ground. I love the beautiful changes in nature and how everything looks completely different when a new season is entering. But the constant sunshine in Los Angeles isn't bad either.. I wish we could get some more of that too right now. As soon as the snow starts coming it will all light up though. I look forward to that.

IKEA

All those delicious pastries they sell for almost nothing...of course we had to make time for a coffee break.

We thought we could carry our items but pretty quickly realized we needed to upgrade to a cart..

Not many things are more Swedish than IKEA, right? We used to go many times in the US but I haven't been here in Sweden for ten years or so, when I moved into my first own apartment in Stockholm. Now I needed to purchase some things and thought it could be a fun little day excursion. So we went, my mom and I. And came back home several hours later with the car filled. A fun day!

My mom and I celebrated her birthday with a night out this weekend. Dinner, wine.... and male strippers on stage(!) Haha, nothing we've ever been to in the past but it sure created a fun memory and gave us a lot of good laughs and a great time together.

It's getting chillier and chillier and it feels like the winter isn't that far away here in Sweden. So today I put on a hat to keep warm for the first time ... and because of a bad hair day I have to admit.. :)

Yummy lunch sandwich and a Swedish cinnamon bun and the best latte I've had in a long time.

We went in to Helsinborg today. Some shopping, just strolling around and a nice relaxing lunch when the little one took a nap in his stroller. Lovely. And time flies when you're having fun...when we returned to our car we'd been away for over five hours..

Feeding the ducks

It was a lot of excitement for a little guy who loves birds when we went to feed the ducks some days ago. First he started eating the old bread we brought himself.. but then laughingly ran around among the hungry little friends. Seeing your baby enjoying himself is the biggest reward I can think of ❤

Warm feet

I got these new warm slippers today. One pair for me and one for my little honey :) He looks so cute running around in his. They are really cozy to tuck our feet into when coming home after being outdoors in the cold weather.

I don't remember when I saw a rainbow like this last. But one day when stepping outside there it was. Sweden can be so beautiful. Especially in fall.

Hi friends, I've been away for about a month now...I haven't updated you on anything but I needed some well deserved time off I think. I've been right in the middle of the biggest move. It's been very stressful and emotional. But it was time for a change and for something new. And I'm in Sweden at the moment - a beautiful and very fall like Sweden. We'll see what happens next...
